About Myleana Grace, by mommy

WOW!  Can you believe Mylie is 4 already?  I know we can't.

In looking back at last years posts I had started one for each girl, but I never got Mylie's completed for her....so it was a must do tonight!  Poor 3rd child syndrome!  I hope I dont give her a complex.

This year was a BIG one for Myleana.  She started...are you ready for it...SCHOOL!  Yep, she has been wanting to go since she could stand and lucky for her there is a program for 3-4 year olds at our preschool now and it is amazing!  She is seriously in love with going to school and cant wait until she can go everyday like her big sisters.  Just this past weekend she had her final school program and "graduated" to official pre-school.  It was so cute and she was the loudest singer of the bunch:)

Jeramy says living with these 3 girls is like living with the Von Trapps...and I have to say I am starting to agree. Every day, without fail, we are treated to a musical performance and every once in a while I am able to catch it on video!  Here is one of our favorites from Lil Miss Sassy-I think you will agree that Daddy had something to do with the song choice:

We also just celebrated Mylie's 4th Birthday!! She had a bake-shoppe party and I think I had more fun with the theme than she did:) It was a really fun party and her first with little friends. We were extremely lucky that her cousin Ellie Rose, Auntie Amy, and grandma Judy were visiting from Minnesota and were all able to celebrate with us too!!

Everyone got to make a chef hat and decorate their own cupcake...it was messy but soooo much fun!

Well I hope that you enjoy catching up on Mylie's year thus far, we will try to do a better job of keeping you up to date!!!

The Dostal Adventures Continue

WOW!  So once again I am way behind in posting and feel overwhelmed with the amount of information that SHOULD have been posted this year.  I might try to do some back tracking and get some of the girls milestones and exciting events from the year posted...but for this post I am going to focus on today.

Sometime around December MaTaya started taking piano lessons from one of our sweet friends at church, Miss Kendra Slaubaugh.  Kendra is an amazing talent all her own!!!  We are thrilled and blessed to have her teaching Maty and are hoping to get a year or two in for Zoe and Mylie before she graduates high school-OR goes on to be a big star with her music career:)  If you have a spare moment you should check Kendra's youtube channel shadesofk3.   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fXmMFkLYlhI&feature=BFa&list=PL7440E32F61EE56BD

In just a short time MaTaya has found a passion for piano and all things music, and we couldn't be more proud of her!  So without further ado, please enjoy her first piano recital video!!!

About Zofia, by Zoe

I'm 5 now!

This summer I went to the pool and had swimming lessons.  I loved playing at the park and riding my bike with my friends in the neighborhood!

I just started Kindergarten and my teacher is pretty nice.  It was a great first day!

My desk
and my teacher, Mrs. Montoya
Zoe is anxious to get moving around again and wants to start soccer and the school's dance team.  She will definitely be our active child!!  For now, she is "immobile" due to a full leg cast, as you can see from her school pictures.  She broke her femur, had a plate and 5 screws put in, and is in a wheelchair for the next 6-8 weeks.  It was an interesting first few days, but we are Blessed that it was only a broken leg and thankful that the Lord watched over our little girl during her surgery and has given US ALL the gift of patience!  More on that in an upcoming post about her progress.

Zoe is still our little comedian and is constantly making us all laugh and smile.  She is a JOY to be around and we just eat her up every chance we get!

Long time, NO blog!

WHEW, I havent thought about this poor blog for far too long!  My brother kindly reminded me that he would appreciate an update on the girls, the family, and our lives in general... so here goes.

"Imagine a woman talking at an insanely fast pace as I try to throw in alot of updates in a few quick posts."

As you can see, much to my dismay, the girls continue to grow!
They look SO much different than my last blog pictures it breaks my heart.

Although the girls continue to grow, our family has finally stopped growing!  3 girls is about all one set of parents can handle.  We truly feel complete and are enjoying every minute we get with our sweet gifts from God.

We are in the process of building a new home, so we no longer live here:
It was bitter-sweet moving out of our First Home!

But we had wonderful family support and are living with my parents until our new home is complete.  Jeramy and I both remarked recently that although we have been "homeless" for a full month, it has gone extremely well and surprisingly fast:)

Jeramy and I are keeping extremely busy between work, kids, designing a home, and trying to find time for eachother!  But somehow, with God's grace, it continues to work and seems easier than we could have guessed.

Watch for my next post later today on the three growing girls!!!  Time is flying and I can hardly keep up.

Thanks for reading and taking the time to catch up with us.

First Day's of School

Where o' where did my summer go?  Seems like just yesterday I was waiting for the first day on the lake; and suddenly summer is over and school has begun!  Although I love crisp cool days in North Dakota, I long for just a few more hours of heat.

Last week MaTaya started her first day of THIRD grade.  Can you believe it?  THIRD GRADE!?!  She promptly informed me that after this year, she only has one more year in the Elementary school.  Whoa, slow down a bit will you??  I am nowhere near ready to have a middle school-er!!!
My ALMOST middle schooler:)

All 3 girls dropping Taya off at school

And just today my sweet little Zoe started her first day of Preschool.  Oh my heart aches for my second baby to be small again, and yet I am excited for her to experience the joy that is school!  After I took my hundredth picture, she looked at me and with the sweetest face said, "I think that's enough, don't you mom?"  And turned and ran to her little friends.  So with a slight smile on my face and a tear (or 20) in my eyes; I turned a left my all-too-grown up 4 year old...on her own...at school.

The Filler's version of Easter

So, the months just keep moving along and I feel as though I am so stuck in the day to day happenings of life; that I don't take a moment to let anyone else in.  I am opening the doors and letting you all inside our family Easter gatherings.  My mom was a Filler, so this is my extended family on her side...they/we are all a little on the crazy side but that is what I love about family!

We always play games of some sort at Filler family holidays.  This year we played "Minute to Win it" type games.  It was a blast and quite hilarious.  Here is a sneak peak~

These 2 nut jobs are my parents!
In case you ever want to play here's a quick run down of the game:
Place baseball inside one toe of pantyhose.
Place 8 full water bottles in lines on either side of the players (4 on each side)
Place pantyhose over player(s) head and attempt to knock down the bottles faster than all other family members!

I can't believe I am posting this picture of myself playing the game, but it's only fair to show you that I am as CRAZY as the rest of the fam.

We also do "normal" things like the Easter egg hunt....

And dying eggs!

But we tie die our eggs for a fun twist :)

And of course we LOVE to cook and EAT!!!!!
(here is my very own little "lunch lady")

Hope you enjoyed this post as much as we enjoyed our Easter!
